Penisola del Sinis

Società Cooperativa

Since 1983, in the heart of the Sinis Peninsula

Founded in April 1983, Penisola del Sinis Cooperative was established with the aim of promoting and enhancing the historical, archaeological and natural heritage of the Sinis Peninsula. Since its foundation, the cooperative has managed visitor facilities across the area, welcoming visitors, groups and schools while helping them discover the peninsula’s most important cultural sites.

Over the years, the cooperative has expanded its range of services and visitor experiences, becoming a key organisation for the management of cultural sites and the development of tourism in the Sinis Peninsula.

Mission

To help visitors, schools and organised groups discover the Sinis Peninsula through dedicated visitor services, guided tours and experiences designed around the area’s places, heritage and history.

Vision

To contribute to the development of a more sustainable and responsible form of tourism by promoting the cultural and natural heritage of the Sinis Peninsula through a continuous and active presence at its most important heritage sites.

Our work

Penisola del Sinis Cooperative manages the day-to-day operation of some of the peninsula’s most important cultural sites, providing visitor services, organising tours and supporting visitors throughout their experience.

On behalf of the Mont’e Prama Foundation, the cooperative manages visitor services at the Giovanni Marongiu Civic Museum, the Tharros Archaeological Site, the Spanish Tower of San Giovanni di Sinis, the Mont’e Prama Archaeological Site and the Hypogeum of San Salvatore.

Its activities include ticket office services, guided tours, educational itineraries, the operation of the Tharros Panoramic Road Train, and dedicated programmes for schools and organised groups.

The cooperative also works closely with the Municipality of Cabras, the Archaeological Superintendence of Cagliari, Oristano and Bologna, the Sinis Peninsula – Mal di Ventre Island Marine Protected Area, cultural associations and tourism operators throughout the region.

Our team

Every activity carried out by the cooperative is made possible by people who know the Sinis Peninsula intimately and contribute to its preservation and promotion every day.
